The clue that it might be hacking was that it worked fine, then suddenly stopped. This IP in Russia was accessing my California server terminal services and causing the same error message. This problem affects all of the 25 RDP connections I have saved in the Desktop Manager. I checked in windows security log for failed connections. If I keep trying, it will usually connect eventually, but not always. It seems that if under attack the RDP service can just collapse - and become inaccessible even immediately after rebooting or restarting the service. I've just been dealing with this error and it was literally Russian hackers.Ĭan you update this answer to suggest better network security as a way to solve this.
